In 1973, my father-in-law, Karl Schakel, was a ranch investment realtor who sold large ranches in the Rockies area to groups of professionals back east.
I got to visit several of these ranches when they were being listed or being prepared for visitors.
Chimney Rock Ranch is in southwest Wyoming and Leslie and I went along with Karl's wife, Dorris, to prep it for arrival by potential investors.
It was one of those perfect days for photography... crisp blue sky, deep shadows, and then thunder clouds rolling in...
With my old 35mm camera in hand, everything looked like a great shot... some were.
I can only dream how these shots would look if taken today with my digital camera.
